1st PROPOSAL:

DAY 1: ARRIVAL – WINE TASTING

Arrival at Venice airport. Meet & Greet. Transfer by private bus to your 4* hotel; accommodation in the rooms and time at leisure to relax. In the late afternoon departure by private bus for a visit to a wine cellar near Treviso. Tasting the famous “Prosecco” white wine. At the end return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

DAY 2: VENICE

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer, by private bus to the near railway station. Departure by regional train to Venice Santa Lucia. (20 minutes journey time). In front of the railway station meet your English-speaking guide and reach by walk the famous St. Mark’s Square. Along the way, the guide will show you the marvels of the city, along the “Calle”, small streets of the city. Lunch at your own. In the afternoon, visit by yourselves the internal of St. Mark Basilica, a superb example of the Romanesque-Byzantine style that was built in 10th century. Time at leisure for shopping. In the late afternoon, return to Santa Lucia railways station. Way back to your hotel by train and by private bus.  Dinner at the farmhouse close the hotel and overnight.

DAY 3: VENICE AREA - COMO

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure by private coach to Como. Lunch on the way at your own. At the arrival in Como, accommodation at your hotel, meet your English-speaking guide and start the city tour. The itinerary begins from Piazza Duomo and the Cathedral, the Palazzo del Broletto and Piazza Verdi, whose monuments are linked to different historical epochs (the medieval walls, the neo-classical theatre and the House of Fascio). The tours go on along Via Vittorio Emanuele to reach the Basilica of S. Fedele, where in the square are preserved many elements of its past. Dinner at the Como’s restaurant and overnight at your hotel.

DAY 4: COMO LAKE

Breakfast at your hotel. Meet your English-speaking guide main pie of Como and boarding on the public boat. Departure for a cruise in the middle of the lake.  The banks are bordered by several villas of 18th century surrounded by marvelous gardens that are witnesses of the charm of the area during the centuries, influencing painters and poets. During the navigation, your guide will show you   the most suggestive points of the lake: Villa Olmo, Villa d’Este, Villa Balbianello, (owned by FAI, Italian Fund for Environment) and many others. Arrived in Bellagio, landing and lunch at your own. In the afternoon stroll through the narrow streets and picturesque staircases overlooked interesting shops.  At the end departure by public, boat to Tremezzo, to visit the elegant 18th century Villa Carlotta, a place of rare beauty, where masterpieces of nature live together in perfect harmony in over 70,000 square meters of gardens and museum. The park of Villa Carlotta is famous for the amazing spring flowering rhododendrons and azaleas in 150 varieties (camellias, century-old cedars and sequoias, huge planes and tropical succession of meetings surprising fact: the rock garden, the valley of ferns, the forest of rhododendrons, bamboo garden and the museum of agricultural tools). At the end way, back to Como by public boat. Dinner at your own. Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 5: COMO – ALGHERO (SARDINIA)

Early breakfast at your hotel. Transfer by private bus to Milan airports.  Departure to Alghero (Sardinia). At the arrival meet your English-speaking guide and transfer by private bus to Alghero; start the visit of the old town. The itinerary begins with the tower of Porta Terra, ancient entrance to the city. It continues along the perimeter of the Old Town's walls with a view of the XVI Century towers. The route includes a visit to the cathedral dedicated to the Virgin Mary, with access to its bell tower (high season only), the church of Saint Francis with its annexed cloister and the church of Saint Michael. Furthermore, you will be able to admire the historic buildings of Alghero's ancient families, in particular those facing Piazza Civica. The tour continues with a walk through the narrow streets of what was formerly the Jewish Neighborhood until the end of the XV Century. Lunch at your own. In the afternoon transfer to the Caves of Neptune dates back to prehistoric times. To reach the cave there are over 650 steps. Many paths, belonging to the Neolithic, suggest that about 2,000,000 years have passed by since their formation. It is almost certain that the primitive men knew and have used them, according to their needs. The Neptune’s Caves are not only the most famous ones but also the largest ones. They extend for about 4 km, but for safety reasons, visitors can access only to a part of them. Apart from being an important tourist destination welcoming visitors from all over the world, the Caves of Neptune are also a place of great attraction for speleologists, the only ones able to visit its most secret recesses. Transfer to your hotel. Dinner and overnight.

 

ALTERNATIVE: (in case of bad weather, the Neptune caves excursion will be cancelled)

In the afternoon departure by private bus for the promontory of Capo Caccia, also known as the Sleeping Giant. The undisputed symbol of Alghero stands just north of the town’s bay. These sheer cliffs, known paradise for climbing lovers, drop to very deep water providing fantastic views of the coast. Not to be missed is the breathtaking panorama from the cliff in front of the island of Foradada. On the top of Capo Caccia, which is the extreme western point of Sardinia, stands a lighthouse 186 meters above sea level, visible even from a distance of about 30 miles. All around the massive promontory is the marine protected area of Capo Caccia Isola Piana, which preserves the life of the existing fauna and flora.

 

DAY 6: COSTA SMERALDA TOUR

Breakfast at your hotel. Meet you English speaking guide and departure by private bus to the Costa Smeralda (Emerald Coast), the jewel of Sardinia, known around the world for luxury and for VIPs. A corner of Sardinia that is an attraction for all, a place where the wealth wildest match dream places, magnificent beaches and crystal clear water. Porto Cervo: So named because the natural harbor, reminiscent of the shape of a deer, is a place to visit even if you are not fond of luxury and gossip. From its square of Chatter, famous throughout the world, up Sottopiazza you find yourself in a set of alleys, windows, balconies, all built in the typical style of the Costa Smeralda, one of its shops and boutiques of the most renowned brands while all around the center of incredible rise villas surrounded by Mediterranean greenery. You also can admire the beach of Cala Volpe a natural creek.  Lunch at your own. In the afternoon continue to Arzachena and visit the “Nuraghe La Prisgiona” a nuragic archaeological site (occupied from the 14th until the 9th century B.C.), located in the Capichera. It consists of a nuraghe and    a village comprising around 90-100 buildings, spread across 5 hectares. Findings from this site are in many cases unique in Sardinia, particularly with regard to decoration and use. Due to the large extent and number of buildings, the site is considered unique in North-East Sardinia. There is also some evidence for occupation during Roman and medieval times. The Giants’ grave Coddu Vecchiu is located nearby. It remains mysterious because is unknown about the ceremonies or rituals that occurred there, or the symbolism that was being invoked. It is believed that the doors in the tombs were used to facilitate passage into the afterlife. These doorways served as the barrier between the physical world and the afterlife. Mourners and others would leave offerings at the entrance to the tombs. Continue to Porto Rotondo, a popular destination for Sardinian movida. The large marina that can accommodate up to 650 boats is a favorite destination of many personalities from politics and show business. Piazza San Marco, also known as ‘piazzetta ‘(i.e. small square), was created by sculptor Andrea Cascella and now it is the heart of Porto Rotondo. Do not miss the Church of San Lorenzo, characterized by the woodwork of its structure. At the end way, back to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

 

DAY 7: DEPARTURE

Breakfast at your hotel. Transfer by private minibus to the Olbia airport and departure to Naples. END OF SERVICES

DAY 6: LA MADDALENA AND CAPRERA ISLANDS TOUR

Breakfast at your hotel. Meet you English speaking guide and departure by private bus to Palau port. Embarkation on the ferry to La Maddalena Island. Full day excursion to explore the main island, La Maddalena fishing village and Caprera. You will take a pleasant walk amongst the nineteenth century buildings and paved alleyways of the village. Following the panoramic road, which skirts the coast for around 20 kilometers, then you will pass through unforgettable panoramic areas, which combine the azure-blue color of the sea with the green of the Mediterranean vegetation. The Isle of Garibaldi, after La Maddalena, is the second largest island in the park but it is the first for the beauty of its coast and its beaches and unusual vegetation: forests of pines and oaks, junipers and Mediterranean scrub intense aromas of myrtle, mastic and arbutus. A bridge connects Caprera to La Maddalena and an isthmus on which runs the access road to the Garibaldi Museum. Lunch at your own and way back to Arzachena.
