DAY 1: TREVISO & PROSECCO WINE TASTING
Arrival at Venice airport. Transfer by private bus to your 4* hotel not far from Venice; accommodation in the rooms and time at leisure to relax. In the late afternoon departure by private bus for a visit to a wine cellar near Treviso. Tasting the famous “Prosecco” white wine. At the end continue to Treviso and stop for a free visit of this marvellous city. Treviso, once considered “the Garden of Venice” and unfairly ignored by tourists who prefer the nearby town of Venice, has much to offer to visitors. Stroll through the narrow streets and discover its wonderful and hidden corners, beautiful shops, narrow canals and waters. Find out its 15th c. frescoed houses, medieval arcades and typical barbacani, arches without a column support; see the magic corner where the town stands at the confluence of Botteniga with the Sile (mentioned in Dante’s Divina Commedia: Dante, Paradise). Do not miss Piazza dei Signori, the medieval center and the Pescheria, the daily fishmarket on a little island. Walk through Via Calmaggiore, the best shopping street in town . At the end way back by bus to the hotel. Dinner and overnight.
DAY 2: VENICE AND PADUA
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer, by private coach from the hotel to the nearby railway station. Departure by regional train to Venice Santa Lucia. (20 minutes journey time). In front of the railway station you find the public boat which brings you to St. Mark square. Meet your English speaking guide and visit the famous St. Mark’s Basilica, a superb example of the Romanesque-Byzantine style that was built in 10th century. Walking tour along the “calle”, small streets of the city. Lunch at your own. In the afternoon way back by public boat to the railway station and departure by regional train to Mira. Meet your private coach and transfer to Padua. Meet your English speaking guide and start the visit. Padua is a beautiful city with many interesting attractions and artistic treasures. Even a small walking tour to Padua's main attractions leads almost through the entire inner old city. From Giotto's famous frescoes in the Cappella degli Scrovegni, the old university, the Caffè Pedrocchi and the Palazzo della Ragione to the Basilica di Sant'Antonio and the Basilica di Santa Giustina, Padua offers visitors many sights that are a must-see when visiting the city. Reason enough to do a walk through the city and get inspired. At the end transfer by private coach in a nearby farmhouse; dinner with a typical products menu. Way back to the hotel and overnight.
DAY 3: DEPARTURE
Breakfast at the hotel and departure. END OF SERVICES
