DAY 1 : Arrival
In the afternoon arrival at Turin airports. Meet & great. Transfer by private car to your hotel in Alba. Time at leisure. Dinner at your own and overnight.
DAY 2: ASTI and ALBA AREA (FERRARIS & SCARPA WINERIES – VALLE BELBO)
You will enjoy your breakfast at the hotel before meeting the guide for your trip inside Piedmont’s wine country. Your first stop will be Asti, where you will wander the old town and see the location of the famous Palio d’Asti. Noble palaces, gothic cathedrals, and other architectural delights await us in this antique city. From there, you will find yourselves surrounded by the hills of the Monferrato region of Piedmont where you will visit Ferraris winery which produces an excellent DOC wine. You will have the opportunity to taste some of their special wines. Lunch at your own or restaurant/farmholiday. In the afternoon, will follow the visit of SCARPA winery in Nizza Monferrarto and you will proceed onto the Val Belbo where you will visit a winery that produces the famous Spumante wines of this region. The passion and loving care given to the vineyards, with their rolling hills, becomes evident in the production of this delicious dessert wine. This particular winery has been in operation since 1900 and is now being tended by the 3rd generation! Tasting here will include not only the Spumante, but some aromatic olive oils, grappa, and some other local products. At the end way back to the hotel, dinner and overnight.
DAY 3: ALBA WHITE TRUFFLE FAIR
Breakfast at your hotel. Day at leisure to spend at “The Truffle Market”, the place to come to find out everything there is to know about the truffle, immersing yourself in a unique and headily scented atmosphere. Every truffle on sale at the market has been checked by a special commission before the market opens to the public, and this group of experts will also be available for consultation at the Consumer Help Desk inside the pavilions. The Truffle Market offers visitors the chance to see, touch and smell many, many truffles, sold directly by trustworthy vendors and local truffle hunters. The large space hosting the Truffle Market is also home to the stands of the AlbaQualità food and wine exhibition. Here you can discover wines from the Langhe and Roero, the delights of local artisanal confectionery, cheeses, egg pastas, cured meats and all the other food products that have brought international fame to this area. The greedy appointments of the International Fair of White Alba Truffle continue with the Alba Truffle Show, big gourmet events that honor the chefs of the territory of Langhe and Roero, but also all those who in their dishes bring out the white Alba Truffle. The meetings are held every Saturday and Sunday at the central Cortile della Maddalena, venue of the world market of the white Alba truffle.

On schedule, in addition, a number of special events with the Wine Tasting Experience: the original tasting formula invented by the "Road of Barolo and great wines of Langa" where you can taste Barolo Docg, Barbaresco Docg and many other excellent wines that are the extraordinary wine heritage of the Langhe and Roero and the lessons of truffle sensory analysis to understand and get all (or almost) the secrets and fragrances of our famous Tuber magnatum Pico.
DAY 4: TRUFFLE HUNTING
Breakfast at your hotel. Private transfer to enjoy a unique and fun experience! Meet a real "trifulau" (a truffle hunter) and his inseparable dog that has been trained for years. Take a breath of fresh air in an easily accessible woodsy outdoor to see the ancient art of finding and taking out truffles from the soil (black or white truffles, it depends on the season). Discovering the "trifulau" secrets, characteristics of the environment where truffles grow, best ways to use truffles, your senses and your appetite will be stimulated! LENGTH OF EXPERIENCE: 1,5 /2 hours. Lunch at at the farmhouse. Afternoon at leisure for relax or to attend the “Albaromatica”, a fair that will let you know all the different uses of aromatic herbs and spices. For the whole day, the very heart of Alba will be pervaded by the spicy notes of Barolo Chinato and the intense perfumes of herbal distillates and liquors; you can find stands and workshops dedicated to herbal teas, teas and natural products too. Dinner at your own and overnight.
DAY 5: UNDERGROUND CATHEDRALS & GOAT CHEESE TASTING
After breakfast at the hotel you will board the private car with your guide to visit a goat cheese factory where the delicious Robbiola di Roccaverano DOP is produced. You will have the opportunity to see the factory in operation and learn their techniques in making this special cheese. Lunch at your own or at farmhouse by local dishes. Then in the afternoon, you will proceed to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Canelli with its underground “cathedrals” that house its historic wine cellars. You will learn some of the secrets of wine-making before making your way to a grappa factory to taste Grappa alla Piemontese and the delicious Amaretti (cookies) of Mombaruzzo. At the end accommodation at Castello Verduno; , dinner on your own and overnight
DAY 6: THE WINE BANK AND HISTORICAL MEMORY
Breakfast at your hotel. Meet your guide and departure by private car to Pollenzo to visit the Wine Bank established in 2001 in order to create a space where the history of Italian wine could be preserved by selecting, stocking, and preserving the best wines from the peninsula. More than one hundred thousand bottles are stored in the cellars, belonging to 300 of the most distinguished Italian wine producers, who are selected by Slow Food. The museum of la Banca del Vino takes you on an excursion from the North to the South of the country, discovering Italy’s principal wine regions. They share Slow Food’s philosophy of good, clean, and fair food and wine production, and continuously works to highlight the cultural significance wine has in addition to increasing public awareness through taste education. To accompany the visit in- side of the Wine Bank, one can also engage in a wine tasting from 1 glass to a maximum of 5 glasses. The wine proposed are on rotation choosing from more than 300 wine- makers from all Italy. So if you have any special request please ask us.
The tour goes on towards BRA which seems like a small, unassuming Piedmontese town, but as the place the Slow Food Movement first took root in 1986, it's also something of a gastronomic pilgrimage site. There are no supermarkets in the historic center, where small, family-run shops are replete with organic sausages, handcrafted chocolates and fresh local farm produce. Bra is also home to "Cheese," a biennial international festival organized by Slow Food which features the makers of artisanal cheeses from across the world. Lunch at your own or in restaurant. Will follow in the afternoon the visit of CHERASCO. The town has still retained its medieval essence with its old buildings and monuments. Founded in 1243, is a town rich of history and monuments positioned on a hilltop overlooking the Langhe and the Alps. It offers its visitors an atmosphere made of smells, colors, sounds of church bells and echoes of the past amid Roman guard towers, baroque church towers, triumphal arches and delighted parks with sycamore trees. Stop for a chocolate tasting at the most famous pastry in Cherasco, declared: "Historical local of Italy “The interior represents the paradigm of what was a Piedmontese pastry age of Liberty, restored in every component and yet very much alive, where the endless curiosity of the decoration and furnishing predispose the spirit to discover the delights on display in glass cases. Way back to your hotel. Dinner on your own and overnight.
DAY 7:BAROLO AREA
Breakfast at the hotel before meeting your guide that will take you to La Morra, the starting off point to a day spent in the Langhe region. La Morra sits atop a small hill and is surrounded by miles and miles of vineyards. From the Piazza Castello, in the center of town, you are awarded a gorgeous view of the surrounding countryside. Barolo, the town which has given its name to the famed wine, will be your next stop. Once again, hills and vineyards grace the panorama from this quaint town. Lunch at your own or in restaurant/farmhouse. In the afternoon, you will leave for Grinzane Cavour and its magnificent castle. More wine tasting and a gander through the museum dedicated to the gastronomic history of this region, including the famed Tartufo (or truffle). At the end way back to the hotel, dinner at your own and overnight.
DAY 8: Breakfast at your hotel. Transfer by private car to Turin rail station . End of services.
