DAY 1:

Arrival at Venice airport, transfer by private bus to Valdobbiadene (Capital of the Prosecco white wine), stop at the famous winery to visit and rich tasting of sparkling wine and local products (possibility to purchase). In the afternoon departure towards Follina, meet the guide and visit the Cistercian Abbey of Follina, dating from the twelfth century, one of the most important examples of Romanesque architecture tending to late-Gothic, in the territory. At the end accommodation in the good farmhouse of 1600, accurately restored. Dinner with typical menu and overnight.


DAY 2: Breakfast in the farmhouse. Meeting the tour guide. Transfer by private bus to Asolo, the town of a “hundred horizons” loved by poets and artists. Start the visit of the town, an ancient village dominated by the lusty medieval fortress of mysterious origin.  Inside the city walls the tour proposes Piazza Maggiore and the Duomo, Villa Scotti-Pasini and the Loggia del Capitano (end 14th beg. 15th century). Following the visit of the Queen Castle, where it is possible to see the Clock Tower, the “Mozza” Tower and the Sala delle Udienze. Going back to the town centre, the House of Eleonora Duse can be visited followed by the medieval Church of S. Anna (16th century), next to the small cemetery where Eleonora Duse is buried. The tour continues towards Possagno, homeland of the great neoclassic sculptor Antonio Canova. His birth’s house is in the square of the town, with original pieces inside. Next to it lies the Gipsoteca, built when he died, to collect the material coming from his studio in Rome: plaster casts, sketches, uncompleted works. Lunch free. Afternoon: visit of Bassano, crossed by the river Brenta. The town is situated at the Grappa’s Massif base and it is famous for its covered wooden bridge called “Ponte degli Alpini” (Alpines Bridge), projected by Palladio. Walk through the characteristic streets and squares rich of ancient buildings and free time available for tasting and shopping into the historical Nardini distillery. Way back to the farmhouse for dinner and overnight.


DAY 3: Breakfast in the farmhouse and departure for Treviso. Meet the tour guide. Walking tour of Treviso going down Corso del Popolo to get to Piazza dei Signori, seat of both the Palazzo dei Signori and the Torre Civica. The Duomo can be reached walking down the Calmaggiore; following the visit of the Cathedral of S. Nicolò. Next to it, the Sala del Capitolo dei Domenicani can be admired. The tour goes on in Piazza S. Vito: on the back side, there is the characteristic Canale dei Buranelli skirted by an arcaded side street. Not so far there is the imposing Church of S. Francesco in Romanic-gothic style and the Cà dei Carraresi, a renewed art gallery facing the Isolotto della Pescheria. Continue to Santa Cristina. Lunch in a farmhouse with menus completely based on “radicchio” – the typical red chicory - (from appetizers to desserts). In the afternoon visit the farm that grows and produces the Radicchio di Treviso IGP.  You can assist to the whole stages of work: from the collection to the whitening and from the washing to the packaging. You can also buy it at the very low price! At the end way, back to the farmhouse for dinner and overnight


DAY 4: Breakfast on a farmhouse.  Meet with the guide and departure towards Conegliano, a very elegant town features with many interesting art proofs. Walking in the historical center of Piazza Cima, seat of the neoclassic Accademia Theatre, and through Via XX Settembre, enriched by elegant palaces with frescoes.  Following the arcades of the Scuola S. Maria dei Battuti (14th century). The arcades constitute also the façade of Duomo (1354). The main altar inside is enriched by a piece by Gianbattista Cima. On the hill there is the Romanic Castle situated in a strategic point. Lunch in a farmhouse with typical menu and transfer to the airport in Venice. END OF SERVICES
