DAY 1: Arrival at Verona airport and transfer by private to Lake Garda. Accommodation at your 3* hotel and lunch at typical restaurant. In the afternoon transfer to Sirmione, meet the guide  and start the  visit this beautiful town known for both its mild climate and the beauty of the landscape. Of particular interest is the remains of the Roman Villa, called "Grotte di Catullo", which is located on the peninsula, and the Scaliger Castle, a fortress with drawbridge, towers and battlements. Way back to your hotel; dinner in typical restaurant and overnight.   


DAY 2: Breakfast at your hotel. Meet the guide and departure towards the Valpolicella area. Located in the east of Lake Garda, the Valpolicella scenic vineyards start in the fertile plain and climb up to the hills, north of Verona, offering a magnificent view over the town. This is an area full of history, culture and some of the best Italian wines. The most famous wines of Valpolicella are the “Valpolicella” itself, the “Recioto” and the “Amarone”.  Visit the Ponte di Veja, the biggest natural bridge in Europe, a picturesque and majestic natural arch of rock, which was formed thanks to the collapse of the inner part of a huge karstic cavern. Stop for a rich tasting in one of the most renowned wineries in the area (possibility to purchase). In the afternoon transfer to San Pietro in Cariano for a guided tour of the Pieve of St. Florian, one of the most beautiful Romanesque churches in the province of Verona. Historical documents mention its existence as early as the year 905. Back to the hotel for dinner and overnight.


DAY 3: Breakfast at your hotel and departure to Verona. Meet the guide and start the visit of  the this marvelous town. The city of Verona, protected by the UNESCO as a World Heritage for its historical importance, has much to offer. Starting from the 2,000-year-old Arena, the Roman Amphitheatre built 26 years before the Colosseum of Rome to host fights between gladiators and between men and beasts, you’ll move along Via Mazzini, the main shopping street of Verona; then you'll get to the famous Juliet’s House, where the inside courtyard with the famous balcony and the statue can be seen. Then, passing through other internal courtyards you’ll see the Scavi Scaligeri, excavations of the Roman and Medieval city, partially visible through the glasses, and the Porta dei Bombardieri. Then you’ll move to the Scala family Tombs and their first house in the nearby Piazza dei Signori. There, you’ll notice also the 12th century City Hall, the Lamberti Tower, the 15th century Loggia di Fra’ Giocondo, the 14th century Palazzo del Tribunale. From there, you’ll move to Piazza Erbe, (the vegetable market), the ancient Roman Forum. There you can see the “Berlina”, the place where criminals were exposed, the Fountain of Madonna Verona, (symbol of the city), the 14th century House of Merchants, the Guard Tower of the “Gardello”, the Baroque XVII century Palazzo Maffei and the frescoed Casa Mazzanti. Finally, you'll reach the Well of Love with its sad story about two lovers. The tour will end in the nearby historical Winebar (Enoteca), to taste a couple of good local wines (one red and one white) together with some light snacks.  Time at leisure and way back to the  hotel, dinner in the typical restaurant and overnight.


DAY 4: Breakfast at hotel, meet the tour guide and departure to Sommacampagna where begins the Custoza white wine road, an itinerary that unwinds between the Verona banks of Lake Garda and the Mincio and Adige Rivers, visiting some exceptional historic centers, a strategic check board from ancient times through to the Risorgimento battles. The Road goes to Villafranca di Verona, with the lovely Scaligero castle, which has now become a cultural center. Stop for a rich tasting in one of the most renowned wineries in the area. At the end continue to the Verona airport. END OF SERVICES
